The Saddler’s House, 36 Great James Street, is a tastefully restored mid-nineteenth century Victorian townhouse situated in a Conservation Area in the heart of the historic City of Derry/Londonderry. Built in 1871 for William Dickson Esq., saddler, the house remained in the possession of the same family until it was bought by its present owners in 1978. Most of its original features survive and there are many pieces of fine old furniture in the house.
The Saddler’s House is the most centrally located bed and breakfast in the city and is within walking distance of all amenities. The house is popular with people connected with the arts and the media. There is a small walled garden at the rear of the house. All seven bedrooms have en suite bathroom facilities.
